Impression
Impression taking – this will help you achieve optimal impression taking
As everyone in dental practice knows, in order to produce perfectly fitting dentures, a precise impression of the original area is required. For this purpose, we offer you the necessary impression materials such as silicones or alginates. In addition, as you probably know, practical impression trays are often used, which you can of course also order from MF-Dental along with other accessories.
Taking an impression is an extremely important step in dentistry and requires the highest level of precision. This is because a negative form of the affected tooth or jaw area - for example an alveolar process - is created by taking an impression or casting, which in turn can then be transformed into a positive form of the molded area by pouring it with a suitable material (e.g. plaster). This then serves as a template for crowns or bridges that replace the defective teeth.
Impression materials for a detailed impression
Various materials have proven to be suitable as impression materials and can be found in the product selection on this page. These include…
- Condensation-curing silicones such as Protesil Putty with excellent initial flow and short setting time in the patient's mouth
- Alginate obtained from the natural salts of seaweed and seaweed, which is processed with water to form an irreversibly elastic gel and is characterized by high accuracy when taking molds
- or Plaque Photo, a hybrid composite-based tray material that can be quickly cured with UV or halogen light after the impression is taken.
Accessories that ensure the perfect impression
In addition to the actual impression materials, we have various accessories in our range that ultimately ensure the successful process of taking impressions of tooth and jaw areas. These include mixing cannulas for problem-free mixing of the impression material, light-curing one-component plastic for fine-tuning the model creation, and adhesion fluid for bonding metal and composite or metal and plastic.
If you need advice on which material is best suited for which specific process of impression taking and model creation, please feel free to contact us - by phone on 09605 -924520 or by email to info@mf-dental.de. And of course this offer also applies to our wide range of other products, from irrigation cannulas to Fluoride varnish.
